The Ios dairy started operating in 2006 as a municipal one, while from 2013 as a private one. The livestock unit has been operating since 2006. The dairy is a model cheese-growing unit with high quality products. Local – pure goat and sheep and cow milk from free-range animals are used without removing their nutrients, nor adding preservatives or other substances. Quality control is carried out at every stage of production. The dairy has ISO 22000/05 and has received important honors and awards.
