The Lamia Cooperative is a very important pillar of the local agricultural economy in the wider area of Fthiotida. It is active in the gathering of milk, cereal and cotton. Since 1963, it has owned the largest dairy industry in the region, LAMIAS DAIRY INDUSTRY, collecting local milk from local farmers, covering the largest part of the local market but also part of Athens with a variety of products: milk, sour milk, PDO Feta cheese, goat, cow cheese, gruyere, etc.
